ACS offer a range of services customised to meet the needs of young people aged 16 – 24 across the south of England.
ACS together with the support workers take on a holistic approach to helping young people and their families to expand networks of support for themselves in preparation for leaving the projects. Assistance is given to build up knowledge and skills to help young people deal with problems in the future. These range from:
- Social and relationship related problems
- Practical skills in areas such as cooking
- Household management
- Skills in the workplace.
Whilst all the time building self-esteem and confidence and to help the young people to fulfil their true potential.
ACS aims to provide a range of sustained services and support to young people going through the transition of adolescence to adulthood while they are still in the care of the local authority.
ACS prides itself as a Learning Organisation, as we will continue to support and encourage our staff team to develop professionally and personally by attending appropriate training and courses, which will equip them to do what they do best.
ACS receive referrals primarily from the South of England, and have an established outreach team. Our 24 hour staffed semi-independent living projects are located throughout London, Hertfordshire, Kent and surrounding areas.
Our ability to quickly establish semi-independent living projects in new locations is a key factor in our successful relationships with a number of local authorities.
